WCSHL Has a New Ponts Leader

Deer Lake's Luke Parsons has moved to the top of the league scoring race. Parsons has 23 points, climbing past teammate Stephen Simms, who had been in top spot for most of the season. Simms has dropped back to third place, with 20, one back of Corner Brook's Ryan Meade.

The high-flying Red Wings hold down the next three spots in the points race. Ryan Penney is fourth with 19, followed by Gary Hynes with 18, and Matt Roche with 16.

There is a four-way tie for seventh. The Royals' Tommy Ryan, Deer Lake's Joshua Oake and Shannon Moores, and Stephenville's Brad Lucas each have 13 points.

Three players share the lead in goal-scoring. The Red Wings' Parsons, Simms and Penney all have 10 goals. The Red Wings' Hynes is the top playmaker with 15 assists.
